Our Identity We are a United Methodist Church that embraces inclusivity and aspires to reflect the diversity of God’s Kingdom. We are committed to “showing up” for one another in life's challenges and celebrations. We are a congregation focused on belonging - meaning being present with one another and God, over trying to be better on our own.
How We Worship Our worship services blend classic liturgy, contemplative rituals, and timeless music to foster a reflective and experience for all generations. We lean into the mystery of God’s Word and calling. We encourage thoughtful questions, spiritual curiosity, and graceful dialogue. We don’t all carry the same beliefs, but we walk together in humility, love and respect. We are guided by a pastor who is seminary trained and accountable to the Indiana UMC Conference. Both the pastor and church members are uniquely called to collaborate and share in leading a meaningful worship experience. We cherish Holy Communion and Baptism as sacred sacraments. We celebrate Holy Communion as a table where all are welcome, without exception. In Baptism, we affirm God’s claim on every life, reminding us that we are called into a community of grace, forgiveness, and renewal. These sacred practices are not rewards but moments of deep connection, reflection, and transformation within the body of Christ.
Our Mission Rooted in historic creeds, we hold space for both holiness and messiness in every life, embracing faith as a journey for everyone. We confess that we are not experts on God, but companions on a faith journey. We believe that faith is real when practiced in ordinary life. We reject Christianity that is tied to any kind of nationalism. We strive to live authentically in service and with love that demonstrates ALL individuals, in celebration of their age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, nationality, economic class, ability, faith tradition, family structure and sexual orientation, are valued and have inherent dignity. We strive to honor the contributions of all people who are advancing
God’s Kingdom. Bridging tradition with today’s cultures, we are ever learning and ever growing together in what it means to be children of God. Servanthood is not normally glamorous; however, we find joy in loving what can be messy lives, as we work and hope to see a fuller vision of heaven on Earth. As graceful hospitality unites us, we remain committed to being embedded in a community where everyone belongs.
We affirm that YOU are fully embraced in our church, welcomed in participation of worship, service, ministry, and the sacraments without exception. We believe God’s love knows no bounds, and we celebrate the diversity in relationship that reflects God’s mutuality in love, equitable care, faithful sacrifice, selfless service, shared respect and honor through the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
