Rooted in historic creeds, we hold space for both holiness and messiness in every life, embracing faith as a journey for everyone. We confess that we are not experts on God, but companions on a faith journey.  We believe that faith is real when practiced in ordinary life. We reject Christianity that is tied to any kind of nationalism.  We strive to live authentically in service and with love that demonstrates ALL individuals, in celebration of their age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, nationality, economic class, ability, faith tradition, family structure and sexual orientation, are valued and have inherent dignity.  We strive to honor the contributions of all people who are advancing God’s Kingdom. Bridging tradition with today’s cultures, we are ever learning and ever growing together in what it means to be children of God.  Servanthood is not normally glamorous; however, we find joy in loving what can be messy lives, as we work and hope to see a fuller vision of heaven on Earth. As graceful hospitality unites us, we remain committed to being embedded in a community where everyone belongs.

We affirm that YOU are fully embraced in our church, welcomed in participation of worship, service, ministry, and the sacraments without exception. We believe God’s love knows no bounds, and we celebrate the diversity in relationship that reflects God’s mutuality in love, equitable care, faithful sacrifice, selfless service, shared respect and honor through the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

FAITHFULNESS

We seek to live in a way that reflects Christ’s glory, listens for the Holy Spirit and honors the Kingdom of God. We believe God speaks through Scripture, Prayer, Wisdom, and ordinary Saints. Being a disciple is a lifelong journey with God.

FAMILY/COMMUNITY

We uphold Scripture’s definition of the Church as brothers & sisters in Christ. We seek to cultivate an environment that fosters belonging, safety, and authenticity; while affirming the diversity of individuals within the body of Christ, as the Triune God calls us to live together.

SERVICE

We go out of our way to love and respect each other.  We listen to and care for each person according to their needs. We embrace and serve the image of God inherent in all people regardless of age, race, gender, religion or sexual orientation.

HUMILITY

We understand that any ‘success’ is not our doing but originates from the work of the Holy Spirit.  We boast of our own weakness and shortcomings to make more of God. We believe and practice communal discernment and power sharing for clearer perspectives of God’s way.

CELEBRATION

We cultivate joy and gratitude in any circumstance because of God’s goodness in all things. We value practices that lighten hearts and brighten faces. Life is too short not to live in the fullness of grace, as we throw off fear, shame and pride.

CREATIVITY

We see healthy ministry most when we allow the Holy Spirit to breathe through innovative and revitalized practices of Christian life.  We restrain ourselves not to quench the Spirit’s presence by being open to different ideas, perspectives and faithful pathways.
