Shawn has served Gateway’s Preschool Program since 2008. She started as an Assistant Teacher and now directs the program. She brings exceptional organizational skills and high standards of care to the program. Her Christian faith serves as an example for every kid in the program, as she empowers her staff to share Christ’s love and stories found in the Bible.

She is native to Indianapolis and just became a new grandparent to a little girl in August. When she isn’t caring for little people, she loves to run, play golf, travel, watch sports, and most importantly spend time with her family.

Gateway is blessed with the opportunity to provide a Curriculum Coordinator for the community that offers additional enrichment opportunities geared towards spiritual growth, social skills and one-on-one educational needs development. Ms. Richardson has taught at Gateway for 20 years and continues to exceed Indiana Standards for Learning.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Harvard University, and a teaching certificate from from the University of Arizona.
